How to set the online test duration?
The Time settings section lets you choose how you want to monitor time during your test and set all related options. To access it, simply navigate to the Test configuration menu, in the Time settings bookmark.
Start with deciding how you want to measure the test duration. Here, you have two options available:
Restrict time to complete your online test.
Restrict time to answer each of your test questions.
Time limit for completing the entire test
With this option selected, your respondents will see the time they have to answer all the questions from their online test.
To set it, enter the value in the white field in hh:mm format. You can also use the watch icon and slider to select the number of hours and minutes. Click the Save button to confirm.

With this feature enabled, your responders will see a time limit for each test question.
The time limit will be the same for each question within the online test. Enter the desired value in the white field in mm:ss format. You can also use the watch icon and slider to select the number of minutes and seconds. Click the Save button to confirm.

How to adjust the test activity period?
Test activity period is the timeframe in which your respondents can access and start taking the test. Testportal lets you choose precisely when the start and end date if you want to raise the bar or avoid cheating.
Start by selecting a test in the My tests view and go to its Time settings. In the Test activation options section, you can choose one of the following: manual test activation or activation in a set time period.

You can set test active time and click Confirm. You set the time period during which respondents may start the test after its activation. When this period expires, they won't be able start the test.

Remember that after the time you have saved expires, latecomers won't be able to start their tests.
Activation in a set time period
Your test will activate automatically at a specific time (Test activation date) and deactivate at a specific time (Access closing date).
Click the Save button at the bottom of the page to save the activation settings.

When you save the configuration in Time settings, you will see the Schedule test button. Click it when you finish the configuration of the whole test.
