How to use a list of respondents?
A list of respondents is a great tool when you prepare tests with private access type, as it lets you work much faster. Avoid entering email addresses manually; upload them in bulk instead! Once you add the respondent list, it stays in the app, and you can also use it for other tests.
Creating the list of test respondents
To create a list of respondents for your Testportal-based online assessment, collect email addresses from the persons who will be taking the test.
Click the Respondents tab in the app's main menu.
Next, click the green New list button.
Enter the name of your new list in the List name field in the Basic information section.
If needed, you can add information about your list of respondents in the Description field.
In the Email list section, you can add email addresses in two ways:
Import email list from file – upload a list of addresses from your computer in the text (*.txt) or CSV (*.csv) file. Use the Browse button and choose the file. Then click the Upload button.
Add new email – enter the respondent's email address in the Email address field. To confirm, click the Add button and then enter the next one. All the added data will appear at the bottom of the table. To delete an email address from your list, all you need to do is to select it and choose Delete selected.
When you finish adding respondents to your list and it is ready, simply click Save.

How to use the list of online test respondents on Testportal?
It is also possible to load the list of respondents previously added on the Testportal account to the selected test in the Access to the test tab.
How to add a list of respondents in the Test access tab?
To use the list of respondents in the ‘Private access code' access type simply follow these steps:
Make sure you have already added the respondent list for your test to your Testportal account (see instructions above).
Select an online test in the My tests view.
In the Test configuration menu, click the Test access tab.
Next, select the Private access code as your access type. This will open the Respondents view.
Click the Load respondents' list button above the respondent table. It will show you all the lists on your Testportal account.
Select one of the lists and then click the green Upload button to confirm.
This is how you can add a respondent list to a selected online test
Test respondents whose email addresses you have included in the list of respondents will receive messages with an individual access code when the test is activated. Find out how you can send them earlier.
Your selected test access type is "Individual access code"? Remember that you can add new respondents to the email list anytime. They will be visible on a list for the selected online test. However, they won't appear in the Respondents tab in the app's main menu.
